This year marks the 50th Anniversary of the tragedy which claimed the lives of 29 sailors and the mighty ship on November 10, 1975.
The ship rests at the bottom of Lake Superior.
W8LRK - Livingston County Amateur Radio Klub will be sponsoring this event with several members of the club. We will operate special event stations N8F, K8F & W9F from the Upper Peninsula of Michigan.
Lark members and guests will be travelling to Michigan’s Lake Superior to do Special Event radio operation ‘Remembering the SS Edmund Fitzgerald’. We will be there from Nov. 5th - 9th (Bonus 10th)
Target Freqs. 3860 kHz, 7260 kHz, 14260 kHz, 18150 kHz all +/- 10
Modes will be mostly SSB and FT8/FT4
