I think it would be nice to have awards that help build a thriving, friendly, cooperative POTA community.
I’ve been looking at activator stats, and there are callsigns where the average number of contacts per activation is over 9000. Clearly that’s a DXPedition style operation with multiple operators and so on.
And that set me to thinking: how about awards where a bunch of folks all declare themselves a ‘team’ for the purposes of working toward some Really Big Award. The “100 parks in every state” award might be too big for a single op but if you get, say, a dozen activators on a team, well, it’d be tough but approachable.
Side note: things like WAS, AAS, do sort of exclude those weird folks who live outside the USA.
