A nice little park with beautiful beaches and lots of local wildlife is Ft Pierce Inlet State Park in Ft Pierce Florida.
I was fortunate to walk and bike the beaches and trails and relax in the shade to setup my POTA activation.
The Rangers are familiar with ham radio operators, and I had a nice chat with one of them. I setup my Chameleon SS25 vertical antenna and went to work.
Conditions were great and I was able to complete 65 qso’s.
The following morning, I woke up just before dawn to catch a rocket launch from Cape Canaveral about 100 miles up the road from Ft. Pierce. Florida has lots to offer with its beautiful parks and lots of POTA sites to activate. My next stop is St. Augustine Fl. for a few days. POTA on!
